How Experience Built Us

At RV Tank Pros, we understand firsthand the challenges of RV living — because we’ve lived it. We were full-time RVers for several years, traveling across the country and calling the road our home. Like many RV owners, we cherished the lifestyle: the freedom, the flexibility, and the adventure. But we also learned that maintenance — especially tank maintenance — is not always straightforward, and definitely not always clean.

Our journey into this business began after we purchased a used camper. Even after emptying the black tank and running several backwashes, a strong odor remained.
We tried everything — cleaning the roof vent, installing a new cap, and testing multiple tank treatments and deodorizers. Still, the smell lingered and the sensors continued to misread.

It wasn’t until we had the tank professionally hydro-jetted that we saw what was really going on. Sludge poured out for over an hour, followed by large, hardened chunks of struvite. Once the deep cleaning was complete, the difference was immediate: no more odor, and for the first time, the tank sensors gave accurate readings.

That experience sparked something in us. We realized how many other RV owners — full-timers, weekend warriors, and new buyers alike — were likely dealing with the same frustrations, without knowing there was a real solution. We recently settled into a home base, and with our firsthand knowledge, RV experience, and genuine desire to help others, RV Tank Pros was born.
